frequently asked questions
is rti dhonbe open source?
yes. rti dhonbe is a free open source software (FOSS). you can view our codebase, verify what the app does with your data, and contribute at github.com/rtidhonbe/rtidhonbe.
is rti dhonbe affiliated with the Maldives government or Mahoali?
no. rti dhonbe is a completely independent tool. it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with ICOM or any government body. it is an independent third-party service built to make filing RTI requests easier for everyone.
do you store my Mahoali password?
no. your password is used once to sign you into your Mahoali account, and is immediately discarded after. it is never saved anywhere on our side.
do you store my RTI messages?
no. your RTI message is sent directly to the government institution through Mahoali and is not saved by rti dhonbe. once it is submitted, it only exists on the government's systems — not ours. the only exception is if you choose to post it to the vault — in that case, a copy of the RTI details is stored on our server as part of your vault post.
what information does rti dhonbe actually save?
only the minimum needed to make the app work. your saved profiles are stored on a secure server so you do not have to type them every time. a count of how many RTIs were sent to each institution is logged with no personal information attached.
